HOUSE

This large historic farmhouse, the second oldest holiday home in Hermanus (circa 1860), is situated at the end of Millionaire's Row in a private, spacious garden with views of milkwood trees and mountains. Ideal for retreats, workshops, mini-conferences or family gatherings.

The nearest beach and whale lookout points are five minutes away at Kwaaiwater and the closest swimming beach is at Langbaai, an invigorating eight minutes’ walk along the scenic cliff path. Other landmarks such as Voelklip Beach, Fernkloof Nature Reserve and the golf course are likewise within walking distance (approximately 1,5 km).

Formerly part of a farm on the Mossel River and then a nurses’ holiday home, the house itself has retained its character and old world ambience. Its eight bedrooms sleep 10–12 guests comfortably while the sitting and dining-rooms are spacious and can seat 15 to 20 people. Outside entertaining takes place on the L-shaped veranda, the open lawn and secluded barbeque area under the milkwoods.
